Requirements

What you need.

SystemmacOS 15 (Sequoia) or newer. On macOS 26 it uses Liquid Glass materials, and older systems fall back to regular translucency
ProcessorNative on Apple Silicon (M-series)
DiskThe app is 12 MB. After that it depends on how many images and files you keep
PermissionAccessibility, one of them. It's how TieTie presses ⌘V to paste back into the app you came from. Works without it, pasting just becomes "put it on the clipboard"
NetworkNot required. Link previews use it, and that feature can be turned off
Setup

Three steps and you're done.

Drag it to Applications

Open the download and drag TieTie into your Applications folder, same as any app.

Grant Accessibility

The first-run walkthrough takes you to the right settings page, so you're not hunting through System Settings. TieTie notices once you've granted it, no restart needed.

Press ⇧⌘V

That's it. From then on everything you copy gets saved, and that's the key to get it back.

TieTie is a menu bar app, so it won't appear in your Dock. It lives in the row of small icons at the top right of your screen.

Installed and out of the way. Nothing left to manage
FAQ

Things you might ask.

Coming from Paste? That works. TieTie can read Paste's exported data.
Where's my data?~/Library/Application Support/TieTie/. A standard SQLite database plus an attachments folder, open it any time you like.
Moving to a new Mac?Export a backup in settings, restore it on the new machine. History, categories, pins and attachments all come across.
Will it slow things down?It checks the clipboard every 0.3 seconds, which costs almost nothing. Animation is off by default, specifically to keep daily use light.
Can I keep only a few days?Yes. Set an item limit and a retention period, and anything past it gets cleared. Pinned items and anything filed in a category are exempt.
Intel Macs?Apple Silicon only for now.
